Why choose Carousel Schools Out?

Carousel School’s Out Club is situated in the East End of Dumbarton. The Club offers children a wide range of activities to choose from in a secure and safe environment. After a hard day at school children need to relax and unwind in a variety of ways and Schools Out offers a very fluid and flexible programme.

The Club has two large open play rooms in which a whole range of arts and crafts and messy play activities take place, as well as games of pool, table tennis, tabletop football, drama and imaginative play. The children are free to choose whatever activity appeals to them.

Activities

Due to popular request from the ‘Children’s Council’, the Club also runs several ‘Hobby’ groups which children can book themselves into. The ‘Hobby Clubs’ can change depending on the children’s choice but the ‘Cookery’ and ‘Drama’ clubs are firm favourites. We also have an ‘Arts and Crafts’ and ‘Soccer Skills’ class.

The Club also has its very own cafe where the children can listen to music and chat over the day’s events. There is also a Televsion/Video room and a Library where homework can be done.

Finally, and best of all, Carousel School’s Out Club has a big outdoor play area where the children can let off steam after a hard day’s work at school.

Age Group

Carousel School’s Out Club is open to all children aged between 5 and 14 years. At present School ‘Pick-Ups’ and ‘Drop-Offs’ only take place from Knoxland Primary and St Patrick’s Primary Schools.  However, you can arrange your own transport to the Club and book a place for your child regardless of which school they attend.

School Holidays

During school holidays, Carousel School’s Out Club is open to all children between 4 and 14 years. The children will be able to book into outings and trips, eg to the cinema, sports centres, adventure parks, etc, and also become involved in fun projects which will involve a full range of activities both indoors and outdoors.
